April 2020 Online Classes

As the spread of Covid-19 continues to extend school closures and force us into self-isolation, we at RPL want to ensure that your teens are still socializing, learning, and having fun while playing Dungeons & Dragons!
To do this, we are heading online using the application Discord, and running a variety of different types of classes to engage all different types of players and interests.
All classes are for teens 11-18 unless specifically stated. Required ability level of adventurers is included with the description.

Monsterhearts, 10am-2:30pm
This 6 part adventure uses a new role-playing game format to bring you a drama that is more role-play than combat. Monsterhearts focuses on the challenging moments of high school as players are teenagers who are also secretly monsters. They use their skills and powers to learn secrets about each other, deal with social situations, navigate school, and discover more about their ever-changing selves. Before the first session, participants will virtually meet with the MC to talk about their character in order to help create backstories.

This game & our module will openly involve and explore LGBT experiences, sexuality and sexual situations, alcohol/drug use, cursing, and many other moments (both comfortable & uncomfortable) that teenagers face. This module is heavily focused on role-playing and much less built on combat, so participants should be comfortable with role-playing their characters, or at least willing to explore this facet. Please read the Monsterhearts Wiki page to learn more and ensure that both you and your participant are comfortable with the subject matter that will be presented to them.
